Dear Mr. Padol,
We appreciate your patience in allowing us the time to thoroughly review the materials that you have previously sent and arrange time for funding. We have been thoroughly pleased with our review of your program.
With a full gamut of AA, NA, CA, Basic Education, Drug and Alcohol Treatment, job skills, and numerous religious services, our program schedule for the inmates of our County Jail is extremely busy and full. Life Management Skills is a vital area of instruction that is missing from our program docket, and is also missing from the lives of most inmates. We have reviewed other Life Management Skills programs, and we feel that your program has by far the most potential for our needs for several reasons.
First and most important, your program is easily integrated into the many other diverse therapeutic programs that we currently offer; we do not have to find another scheduled block of time in our hectic schedule, nor expensive instructional resources to fully implement this important training. Our other program sponsors have all reviewed your materials, and agree that they can easily adapt and integrate your program into their already existing curricula.
Second, your program easily integrates into these other programs over an extended period of time; adding the lessons of the other programs to reinforce the lessons of Life Skills. A separate class does not have to be developed, the inmates do not quickly become Life Management Skills "experts", and the reinforcement of the other programs helps them retain the information for longer periods.
Once again, I appreciate your patience, and assistance with our needs.
Sincerely,
Robert D. Reed
Programs Coordinator
